The Uganda CCM usually conducts Capacity building programmes in different constituencies. This activity introduces the participants to Global Fund activities. These activities focus on introduction and overview of the Global Fund, Uganda Country Coordinating Mechanism, historical perspective, current outlook of the Global Fund in Uganda.
Members are also introduced to the concept of constituency engagement (CE) that equip CCM members and their constituency members with knowledge and tools to carry out effective constituency engagement
Training of Trainers (TOT) for the CCM members is also done to enable constituency representatives to be able to conduct capacity building workshops on CE for their constituencies at the regional level.
The Uganda Country Coordinating Mechanism (UCCM) secretariat organised a retreat for the CCM board members. This aimed at developing a common vision of the oversight roles and responsibilities of the CCM in light of the Global Fund’s transition to a New Funding Model. Download full report
The UCCM organised a workshop to induct new members with the following Objectives
- Training the newly elected CCM board Members for them to understand the Global Fund architecture, CCM roles functions and structures.
- Introducing participants to the CCM governance, operation structures and framework documents.
- Preparing the new members to better perform their functions in light of the Global Fund current reforms, New Global Fund guidelines to the CCM and minimum requirements
- Introducing the grant history, existing grant portfolio future and implementation arrangements
